It's not something you can fix until you've tried a bunch. Most moves are fine for most people, but some of them just don't feel right and some of them are perfect.

All I ask after the stock is that there is as little vibration as possible. The stun button isn't super bad for practical accuracy, but it's annoying and detrimental to practical accuracy.

The best thing about SOPMOD is that you can get it in multiple colors, but you may have to shop around to find it.

A secondary benefit is that carbon fiber dissipates heat very quickly. If you live in a hot area and expose your gun to the sun, this can be a big deal. While many stocks get hot and uncomfortable, the Lancer's CF never burns your cheeks.

Super Stoc Carbine Buttstock

To take the A2's design and make it even better, Magpul's MOE stock is a great fixed option, giving the A2 all the flexibility it needs while still being useful.

Not only does the MOE look better, but it's also easier to use with lots of QD holsters, a sliding thread mount, and a storage area for whatever you want to pack.

The rest of the Magpul's cheekbones are also rounded and feel very nice on the face. While the A2 isn't bad in this area, like Magpul's fixed MOE - it's better.

If you want to keep things classic, it doesn't look much better than the stock A2. Many brands offer their own A2 versions, which are more or less the same thing, but I like the PSA because it gives you everything in one package and is well made.

If I had to pick just 1 best AR stock for a standard rifle, it would be the Mission One Tactical Battlefield because it's a solid mid-range stock that just gets the job done.

For precision rifles, the PRS Gen 3 is the clear winner, with the PRS Lite a very close winner.
