ROSWELL, GA - Goodwill of North Georgia will open the doors to its Alabama Road store in Roswell at 10 a.m. Thursday. Located at 4905 Alabama Road, hundreds of shoppers are expected to visit the new store on opening day. The 30,316 square foot space, which includes 12,112 square feet of retail space, has a raised donor door, making donating safe and easy.

"Goodwill North Georgia locations are a safe place to work and shop. As we open the doors of our Alabama Road store for the first time, the health and safety of our team members, shoppers and patrons remains our top priority ," said Keith Parker, president and CEO of Goodwill of North Georgia. "Our mission to put people to work must continue as the state of Georgia experiences job losses. This new location allows us to continue to support those who need it most with our workforce development programs and services."
Temporary store hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. Store visitors and patrons can expect the following new security measures at all locations throughout Goodwill North Georgia's 45-county region, including the new Alabama Road store:

Every purchase helps support the organization's mission to put North Georgians to work. Sales of donated items help fund North Georgia Goodwill's workforce development programs and its 13 career centers located throughout the region, including its career center.

The Alabama Road store is expected to bring in shoppers and donors who will find the new location a great place to donate items they no longer need. Shoppers will find a variety of products from clothes and shoes to jewelry and books on the sales floor. Those who visit the store during opening weekend (June 4 - 7) will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for Goodwill gift certificates.
