Google Maps Albany Ga - The National Map (TNM) maintains a series of integrated base maps, which integrate basic data into the services. plug-in, plug-in offers the convenience of maps based on a single service and multiple data sources. Since these maps are also services, they can be used as information in any GIS. Basemap URLs (or service results) can be found in our Services Directory. TNM basemaps are visualized from global scale (1:591,000,000) to local scale (1:9,000). They use the Web Mercator model (Help Sphere) and are attached to the standard map scales used by Esri, so they will look best displayed in those scales and in this view when used in other applications. National Map strives to update the content of these sport and fitness based maps annually.

USGS Imagery Only a standard image series map is included in The National Map. Orthoimagery data are typically high-resolution images that combine the visual qualities of aerial photography with the accuracy and reliability of a topographic map. USGS digital scale images may vary from 6 inches to 1 meter. At the first resolution, each pixel in an image covers six square inches of the surface, but at the final resolution, one square meter is represented by each pixel. Blue Marble: Next Generation is shown from around the world on a modest scale, but largely locally, images are obtained from the National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP) for the United States. Data is 1 pixel " leaf-on" resolution. The NAIP image collection is maintained by the US Department of Agriculture's Farm Service Agency FSA. In areas where NAIP data is not available, alternate imagery is available through USGS partnerships; Images of Alaska are from SPOT. The National Map Viewer allows free download of public domain NAIP maps at 1 meter resolution in JPEG 2000 (jp2) format for the United States.
The USGS Imagery Topo is a closed-loop map with images from the USGS ImageryOnly service as a template and limited datasets (zooms, names, traffic, contours, and hydrography).
USGS Hydrography is an integrated version of the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD). The NHD is a comprehensive collection of local digital databases containing information on natural and built water bodies, watercourses, material concepts such as space and water, and additional information on the water. It is available nationwide in a consistent 1:24,000 scale dataset known as the NHD Level. NHD supports many applications, such as mapping, geocoding monitoring, flow modeling, data management, and stewardship. For more information, go to http://nhd.usgs.gov. Additional data used for water analysis models include NHDPlus resolution published by the EPA; USGS Small Scale Hydrography; and ETOPO1 Global Relief bathymetry, provided by NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information, US Coastal Relief Model.
The USGS Shaded Relief is a relief map of terrain depicted as mountain shadows created from the 3D Elevation Program (3DEP). 3DEP maintains an untapped database of the highest elevation data available, in the form of Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) for the United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and United States Territorial Islands. At the largest scales, DEMs of 1:9,000 to 1:72,000, 1/3 and 1/9 of an arcsecond are used, while the smaller scales (1:144,000 to 1:1,000,000 ) using 1 arcsecond and 2 arcsecond DEMs (in Alaska). Small and global scales, from 1:2,000,000 and smaller, use GMTED2010 global elevation DEMs, not part of 3DEP. The relief is derived from DEM 3DEP using the multidimensional shading system; the latitude of the GMTED2010 data is one shade north-west (337.5°). For more information, go to https://nationalmap.gov/3DEP/ and https://topotools.cr.usgs.gov/gmted_viewer/.
